Good sound. Solid performer. Great value for money there are many more expensive subs that do not match this for performance. The box is constructed of light thinner material than I would expect for a sub this size/power. But this doesn't seem to be to big a deal. The bass gain is a waste of a dial - it just makes Unbearably boomy and unbalanced bass. You would have to have a terrible head unit if you were to need this feature and even then it just overcompensates. After taking time to fine tune my crossover I have found a sweet point and this sub sounds great in my Passat wagon. It is quite large - but you should expect that for a 12" sub. It is a Shame the 10" model isn't available in NZ.
