I can’t say I have much previous experience with sound deadening material so can’t comment on this vs others.
I can say that I’m glad I got this. I picked it up on special so was dearer than trademe Chinese stuff and it seems better quality from using and the pictures of that another stuff.
Installed it over two weekends in the doors so far, easy to cut and stick, no issues with sticking, made sure to prepare everything with cleaning etc.
I also picked up the aluminium tape for closing up gaps and going over with the sound deadening material, reducing the hollow ring in the doors and blocking out more sound.
The results were very good, I installed new basic kenwood speakers in all doors and they sound spectacular. Bass and mids really thump and are as clear as the speaker can deliver.
Sound deadening is definitely improved from the doors, can tell over what ‘wind and noise’ could be heard coming from the door itself. Obviously glass and other parts of the vehicle will still transmit a bit of noise.
Overall very happy with this purchase. Glad I did it and next up will be doing the floor which is the next major noise source. Might need only another half pack!
My vehicle is a 96 land cruiser.
This pack is enough for 4 large doors and then some so good value.
