I used this to replace a Ring camera. The build quality on the Eufy is much higher than the Ring and I think Operation is better too. You do need a base station but this is one of the reasons I prefer it to the Ring. the base provides storage for footage and also acts as a doorbell. You need to run the Eufy app in the background if you also want alerts on your phone and to use the two-way speech.
